 Question 35 -What Day is Israel's Sabbath?
On the surface, this Question needs no Pondering for Pre-Trib Promoters. However, there are a few Christians that have not studied the subject and some of these assume that Sunday is the Sabbath, and that Sunday is the same day the Jews observed as the Sabbath, but this view is diminishing quickly because of the abundance of documentation available for everyone to use. With all of the Concordances and Study Bibles available pretty much everyone recognizes that the Jewish Sabbath is Saturday, the 7th day of the week. Pre-Trib says absolutely that Saturday, the Seventh Day, is now the Sabbath and has been since the 10 Commandments were given to Moses on Mount Sinai. Pre-Trib also says Saturday, the Sabbath, will be observed as Christ's Holy Worship Day during the Great Tribulation and throughout the Millennium. The Pondered Question here is, if the Church and Israel are the same, then should Christians be observing the Sabbath as their worship day  now in this Grace Age?  If Jesus told us that disregarding and disobeying God's Commandments and teaching others to do so is the right thing for us to do, we'd better disregard and disobey at least the Sabbath Commandment.  But if Jesus said the opposite, and of course He did absolutely, what do we do? (See Matt.5:17-19 for the exact words of Jesus concerning this) In our Blogsite,  Mark of the Beast, we show from Scripture prophecies declaring that Antichrist will use this confusion about the Sabbath to set up his Mark! According to the best information we have available, the Sabbath today is the same day as it was when Jesus wrote the 10 Commandments for Moses and Israel!!! Lord's Day Dilemma
Pre-Trib has a particular interest in converting the Jews into Christians. They claim that the Bible says the Jews will be the Nation ruling earth during the Millennium. Pre-Trib declares that when the time is right, the Church will be Raptured away to heaven, after which there will be a massive conversion to Christianity within the Jewish nation. According to Pre-Trib, this massive conversion occurs as Antichrist's appears on the world scene. Again, according to Pre-Trib, Antichrist will make a "Covenant" with the Jews allowing them to re-instate their Animal Sacrifice Service. As to why Pre-Trib Promoters believe these new Christian Jews would want to sacrifice animals after coming to a full understanding that Jesus ended the sacrificial system seems mysterious, but it is very much a part of Pre-Trib's version of the Tribulation and the Millennium. For more on this, see, "Ezekiel's Temple Vision."  In this Blogsite we will only examine the Sabbath/Sunday issue. The official position of Pre-Trib contends that, after the Rapture, God will once again command His followers to observe the Sabbath exactly as it is stated in the 10 Commandments.

The Delemma
There are Pre-Trib promoters who have made it their sole goal to share the Gospel with the Jews.  What these Pre-Trib Ministers tell their newly converted Jews concerning the Sunday/Sabbath issue is not clear, but it appears not many of these Pre-Trib Christian ministers attempt to change the Jewish converts to abandon their Sabbath observance. There is a high profile Pre-Trib Preacher that is a frequent guest on many religious radio and TV shows who, years ago, moved to Jerusalem for the sole purpose of converting Jews. We will stay with our policy of not mentioning names of present day ministers involved in Christian debate, but this particular Pre-Trib preacher made it clear that, because of his close association with the Jews, he observed the Sabbath with them. This seemed a little odd because Pre-Trib believes that presently Sunday is the "Lord's Day."  From what we have discovered so far in our Internet searches, most converts from Jews to Christianity stay with their Sabbath Observing. The Pondered Question here is, what should Jewish converts do? Did Jesus answer this when He said, "Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the Law" (Matt 5:18)!

 Conclusion, and the REAL Question to Ponder
When we understand Pre-Trib's view that God will command Sabbath Observance during the Great Tribulation, and that Pre-Trib declares Sabbath Observance will be commanded by God during a thousand year Millennial Kingdom here on earth, we must ponder, "Why, after the Rapture, will Sunday suddenly no longer be important? If Sunday is the "Lord's Day" now, why would it not be the Lord's Day during these times? Will the day of Christ's resurrection be of no importance?" Pre-Trib's Un-Answered Question here becomes larger when they look at their proof-text for the Sabbath being kept here on earth during a Millennial Kingdom. Pre-Trib's proof text does not refer to the Millennium, but the New Earth created after the Millennium.

Sabbath Forever
 "For as the New Heavens and the New Earth, which I will make, shall remain before Me, saith the Lord, so shall your seed and your name remain. And it shall come to pass that, from one new moon to another, and from one SABBATH to another, shall all flesh come before Me, saith the Lord" (Isa.66:22-23). So, Pre-Trib's proof text is actually a Bible Prophecy about the New Earth God creates after the Millennium, thus Isaiah prophesied that the Sabbath will be observer throughout eternity, forever and ever. Again we must ask, "What happened to Sunday? If Sunday is the "Lord's Day now, why will it not always be the Lord's Day?
